Portside, Inc. and Airshare Develop New Cloud-Based Data Reporting Platform for Fractional Programs
Portside provides new tools to manage fractional shares and EMBARK jet cards
LENEXA, Kan. – [August 31, 2020] Airshare, one of the largest private aviation companies offering fractional ownership, jet cards, whole aircraft management and charter services, announced today that it has partnered with Portside, Inc. in the development of a new cloud-based data and reporting platform designed specifically for their customers.
The platform, called Portside, had previously been built specifically for use by whole aircraft management companies and corporate flight departments, in which Airshare was one of their first customers. Following the successful launch of this version, the two entities collaborated to create a new version of the platform for fractional customers. Features of the platform currently include:
- Integrated dashboard with key account information including contract summaries, current
usage and monthly statements. - Calendar for viewing upcoming and past flight activity.
- Detailed information on customers’ aircraft.
- Annual and monthly usage statements.
- Viewing of scheduled and completed trips.
Future versions of the platform will include more robust accounting and billing and reporting functionality. Through the development agreement, Airshare will be offering the fractional version of Portside exclusively to their customers through the remainder of 2020.
“We are excited to offer Portside exclusively to our fractional owners and EMBARK jet card members,” said Andy Tretiak, chief marketing officer at Airshare. “Our whole aircraft management customers have been extremely pleased with the features and functionality of the platform. We worked closely with the development team at Portside to create a user experience that would greatly enhance the ability for our customers to maximize the usage of our program.”
Portside, located in San Francisco, CA, began offering the whole aircraft management version of their platform to European customers in May 2018. Since then, Portside has grown aggressively and added charter operators, corporate flight department, and government customers in over 25 countries. “The release of this new version of Portside for Airshare’s fractional and jet card customers represents another major step in the growth of our company,” said Alek Vernitsky, co-founder and CEO of Portside, Inc. “We are developing new technology for both versions of our platform that will continue to expand the ability for customers to manage their private aviation programs even more effectively.”
