Airshare’s 25th anniversary, celebrated last week in Kansas City, also marks its debut at the Ryder Cup, perhaps a fitting way for the formerly regional provider to demonstrate that it is now a national player.

Last year, it ranked as the 8th-largest private jet company in the U.S. based on charter and fractional flight hours.

CEO John Owen says, “Reaching our 25th anniversary is a testament to the hard work of our employees, the loyalty of our customers, and the strength of our vision for private aviation.”

Owen adds, “From our founding in Wichita to becoming a nationwide operator across all of our services, we’ve remained focused on delivering exceptional experiences when flying with us.”

The former CFO moved into the corner office in 2018.

RYDER CUP ACTIVATION

Earlier this year, it formed an extensive golf partnership with the PGA, which will be front and center at this weekend’s Ryder Cup.

Chief Marketing Officer Andy Tretiak says the company is extending what he describes as “VVIP hospitality” this weekend.

Guests are staying in Manhattan.

However, due to restrictions imposed by the U.N. General Assembly, crowds from Fashion Week, and the usual gridlock, Airshare is operating daily flights with one of its Challenger 3500s from Teterboro Airport, located just across the river in New Jersey, to Republic Airport in Farmingdale.

Bethpage State Park Golf Course is less than five miles from the field.
